This treatment uses Fotona’s 2940 nm Erb YAG laser that can treat mild to moderate stress/urge incontinence, painful sex, vaginal atrophy, recurrent infections and itchiness, burning and/or dryness associated with menopause. Compared to other vaginal tightening methods, this minimally invasive and non-ablative procedure is a much safer and faster solution. It does not, however, replaces any surgically installed mechanical supports or hormone replacement therapies.

Not all women are suitable for vaginal laser rejuvenation. Each patient must have a medical consultation to discuss and determine their suitability prior to undergoing treatment. A standard treatment plan consists of a preliminary medical consultation and initial three to four sessions over 8 to 16 weeks plus a “booster treatment” around 12 months. After treatment, patients can expect an improved lubrication and blood circulation, which will enchance sexual gratification, as well as an improvement in the symptoms of urinary incontinence.

By using the Fotona’s Erb Yag's 'Smooth Mode' setting, the laser will heat the vaginal tissue, stimulating collagen remodeling and the synthesis of new collagen fibers in the vaginal mucosa tissue. The final result is increased tissue quality and elasticity, increased blood flow to the vagina, tightening of the vaginal canal and the rejuvenation of aged, damaged and irritated tissue. The treatment can help to normalize the pH of the vagina and reduce recurrent infections for many women.
